Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Idaho Residents Directory receives from visitors and how those details are handled. No account is needed to read the Idaho record references, and the site does not keep a resident file about its readers.

Information You Submit

Search entries such as a name, phone number or street address are sent to the outside provider that returns the sponsored results; the site’s own servers do not retain a copy of the search. A message sent to us contains only the information you choose to include, which is used to respond.

Automatic Server Information

The hosting service records routine log details, including an IP address, browser type, pages opened and timestamps. We review totals and trends to maintain the pages and understand general use. Basic analytics and, where offered, advertising measurement may rely on cookies or similar tools.

How We Use Information

We use it to operate the reference, address technical faults, count visits and improve the pages. We neither sell lists of visitors nor assemble individual reader profiles.

Outside Websites and Search Tools

Links lead to Idaho county and state record portals, library and archive collections, and outside search services. Once you leave this reference, the outside service’s privacy terms apply to information submitted there. Sponsored results are supplied by a third party and follow that provider’s practices.

Service Providers and Disclosures

Hosting and technical vendors process site logs as part of their work. Analytics or advertising partners may also receive the automatic information noted above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it.

Keeping Information Safe

Pages use an encrypted connection, and log records are kept only for the purposes described above. Readers do not create an account here, so the site holds no reader password or account profile.

Children’s Information

This reference is intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and we will remove what we find.

Requests About Visitor Data

Depending on your location, you may have a right to see, correct or delete personal information a website keeps about you. Idaho’s Public Records Act, Idaho Code Title 74, Chapter 1, concerns records held by public agencies; those government files are separate from the limited visitor data described here. Idaho’s official sources reviewed for this project did not identify a universal state data-broker deletion or opt-out process. Because this site keeps little reader information, a request can usually be checked against our contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page. Requests to correct or remove a county, city or state record must go to its custodian.

Policy Changes

We will post a revised policy here if our practices change. Continued use after an update takes effect indicates acceptance of the new terms.
