Not a Government Office or Custodian. Idaho Residents Directory is a private reference and cannot retrieve or certify a record, verify who lives at an address, or change a government database. Contact the agency that keeps the file for official service. For an emergency, call 911. If you face stalking or harassment, contact local law enforcement.
Where Idaho Record Questions Go
Use the Idaho source that matches the record you need:
- Owners and address-based records: use the Idaho street directory steps
- Printed directory years: check the Idaho city directory holdings
- One person across records: follow the Idaho resident lookup checks
- State and county contacts: start with the Idaho records-office directory
- A file missing online: request it under the Idaho Public Records Act from its custodian
For a county contact example, the Canyon County Recorder handles recorded documents for Canyon County. Its office is at 111 N. 11th Street, Suite 330, Caldwell, ID 83605. Call 208-454-7555 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; public terminals and microfilm readers are available for local records. This office does not keep every Idaho county’s records.
For another county, use the official Idaho county clerk directory to find the local clerk or recorder. A statewide request should go to the named state-agency custodian through its own form, such as the Idaho public-record request route.
